How buyers should specify large welded diamond saw blades by actual diameter, core, tension, bore, segment layout, stone or construction material and machine.
Large blades must be engineered by diameter group
As blade diameter increases, the core, tension, segment layout, flange system and cooling condition become more important. A small-blade design should not simply be scaled up.
Reference commercial classes
450, 500, 600 and 700-class blades are common reference groups in large-saw purchasing. Always confirm the required actual outside diameter and machine mounting dimensions before production.
Stone and construction applications are different
Granite, marble, concrete and road materials create different wear and impact conditions. Segment formulation and geometry should be matched to the material.
